Pembrokeshire students are celebrating across the county as GCSE and vocational qualification results are released today.

A spokesperson for Pembrokeshire County Council said: “Students receiving their results have shown tremendous commitment, resilience and determination throughout their studies.

“Their success reflects not only their own hard work and ambition but also the dedication of teachers, support staff, parents, carers and communities who have supported them along the way.”

We are immensely proud of everything they have accomplished and of the perseverance they have shown.

“Whether they are progressing to further study, training or employment, these results represent the culmination of significant effort and commitment. We wish every learner the very best as they move forward to the next stage of their journey."

Steven Richards-Downes, Pembrokeshire Council’s Director for Education, added: "Results day is a moment to recognise and celebrate achievement in all its forms. Every learner's journey is unique and today provides an opportunity to reflect on the progress they have made and the skills they have developed along the way.

“Across Pembrokeshire, we are committed to ensuring that young people can access the support, opportunities and guidance they need to achieve their aspirations and fulfil their potential."

Young people leaving compulsory education have a wide range of opportunities available to them across Pembrokeshire and the wider region.

Many will continue their studies in sixth forms or at Pembrokeshire College, pursuing academic and vocational qualifications that will prepare them for future careers and higher education.

Others will take advantage of apprenticeship opportunities, combining practical workplace experience with further learning, while many will seek advice from Careers Wales as they consider their next steps.

A spokesperson for PCC continued: “Recognising that results day can bring a mixture of excitement, relief and uncertainty, Pembrokeshire County Council continues to place a strong emphasis on supporting learner wellbeing.

“Mental health and emotional wellbeing services remain available through schools, community-based initiatives and trusted partner organisations. Young people can also access a range of online resources and support services designed to help them manage stress, anxiety and other challenges associated with educational transitions.

“Additional support is available through NHS Wales SilverCloud, which offers flexible, evidence-based online programmes to help young people build resilience and manage feelings of stress, anxiety and low mood.

“Learners and their families are encouraged to access support whenever they need it and to remember that success is measured not only by examination results, but also by personal growth, wellbeing and readiness for future opportunities.

“Pembrokeshire County Council congratulates all learners receiving their results today and wishes them continued success in whatever path they choose to follow.”
