Over £4,500 raised by St. Teilo’s Charity Abseil Day. Following the successful charity abseil in March, Friends of St. Teilo’s are pleased to announce that the event raised over £4,500 towards the Play for Life Project. John Williams from Overhang (Tenby Climbing Wall) recently attended a special assembly to present certificates to the staff and pupils who scaled the 80-foot high Great Keep at Pembroke Castle. Said Friends chairwoman, Hannah Arentz: “It’s a fantastic amount we’ve raised from this one event. Everyone had a fantastic day, and with this money, we can start thinking about the new play facilities that the money will go towards. We have to say a special thank you to all those pupils, staff and friends who were so brave in taking on the challenge, as well as all the volunteers on the day. We also have to thank John from Overhang who made sure all participants enjoyed the experience, Pembroke Castle for hosting the event and Sainsbury’s and Santander for their very generous contributions.”
