Pembrokeshire College students recently put their thinking caps on to come up with a Welsh brand as part of a business Enterprise project.

The Enterprise competition called for students to utilise Welsh materials and ingredients in their products to reflect Welsh culture, heritage or language. Creative ideas came flooding in with entries for a Welsh product, logo and theme to tie-in with an overall brand identity.

First prize was awarded to Level 3 IT students, Sam Cox, Issaac Eardley and Lucy Jones who worked together to create a brand for a Welsh beer, ‘Cwrw Cymreig’. Their creative talents bagged them each a £20 Amazon voucher.

Second prize went to Bridging 2 student, Brian Burnett for his daffodil scented lip balm, ‘Blodyn Melyn’.

The competition was good practice for students who will soon be taking part in the Enterprise and Employability Challenge as part of the Welsh Baccalaureate.
