Pupils at Stepaside CP School have made their donation to Save the Children representative Mrs. Caroline Williams. During the last week of term, pupils and staff donned their festive attire to join in with Christmas Jumper Day. The event took place on the same day as the school Christmas lunch and made for a special atmosphere in the hall as the staff served the traditional turkey dinner to pupils. Mrs. Caroline Williams attended assembly to explain to the pupils where the money is spent and how it helps children their age in other parts of the world to access education, health care and shelter and how workers help to keep the children safe. Members of the school council presented Mrs. Williams with a cheque for £46 which will add to the target of £1,000 from the area which she hopes to raise from Christmas jumper wearers.
