Recently, a group of Year 9 students at Greenhill School in Tenby participated in a D.T. Enrichment Day, where pupils worked on developing their knowledge of the styles and techniques they can apply in future D.T. lessons. Pupils looked at an Indonesian style of work called Batik.
This style of art involves imprinting wax patterns onto silk fabric. Students developed their ideas on paper before drawing their designs onto the fabric and dying it to produce their final product.
The main focus of the designs and patterns were based on tropical varieties of fruit and vegetables.
All pupils worked hard throughout the day, producing lots of fantastic work.
