Matthew Evans, CEO at Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire, has donated £5,000 to Tenby Church in Wales VC Primary School to allow them to build an outside play area for the children.
Coastal Cottages Trust was set-up to take donations from people staying with Coastal Cottages, to simply reinvest back into the county. It’s about leaving Pembrokeshire better than they found it. Over the years, the Trust has funded several social and environmental programmes.
Matthew Evans says: “Learning environments are a delicate balance, so when we heard that there were no play facilities at the new school, we were delighted to help. As the largest self catering operator in the county, we do generate huge inward investment, but also impact heavily on the beaches and environment, so our guests feel it’s important to give back to Pembrokeshire. This is a little thank you from them.”
