Eco-friendly pupils from Whitland have been clearing their school and town of rubbish. Fourteen pupils from Ysgol Dyffryn Taf's eco committee gave up their lunch time to tidy up the school's yard as well as Pocket Park earlier in the week.
The litter pick was part of the 'Clean up Carmarthenshire' campaign.
The school's community officer, Sian Rowlands, said: "The eco committee get together regularly to discuss environmental issues and find practical ways to make the school, and community, more eco friendly."
Mayor, Clr. Ron Jenkins was at the park to meet the students.
He said: "On behalf of the town, I would like to thank the school for taking an interest in the cleanliness of Whitland. It is very encouraging that they are teaching students to look after their communities."
