Volunteers from the ‘New Hedges and St Mary Out Liberty Friends’ group on Facebook, are currently collecting Easter Eggs for the children of the village.

“We have done the Senior Citizens Christmas Hampers for the past two years, which has proved to be a great success, so we hope to continue with that, but thought it would be nice to do something for the children of village too!” said Melisa Elisabeth from the group.

“We thought Easters Eggs would be enjoyed, so set about asking for donations.

“It’s made possible entirely from generous donations from the community at large, pulling together for the good of others, and 100 per cent not for profit or gain.

“The support of individuals, local businesses, and the amazing Community Champions, is all invaluable.

“Parents and guardians can contact myself for their children to receive an Easter Egg; and if any more businesses would like to make a donation of a or some Easter Eggs, that would amazing,” she added.
