A documentary photography student from the University of South Wales has just opened the first exhibition ever to be displayed on St Catherine’s Island in Tenby.

Ellen Budd who has a longstanding connection with Tenby and whose photography project focuses on life in the seaside town, opened the exhibition inside the Fort on the island, which sits alongside Castle Beach last Thursday.

Mayor of Tenby, Cllr Sam Skyrme-Blackhall was on hand to open the exhibition, as well as officially opening the newly accessible back rooms on the island that members of the public can now visit.

“It is Ellen’s first ever photography exhibition and our first one out in the newly opened rooms. Come and check out her work, as she has obvious talent behind the shutter and a great career ahead of her,” said Island co-ordinator Andi Jones.
