A Tenby Sea Cadet who had gained a place on the UK team to visit Canada this month has been given a boost by local councillors.
A letter of correspondence from Tenby Sea Cadet’s commanding officer Lt. Roy Broxham RNR came before members of the town council at their meeting on Tuesday night, giving details of Able Cadet Sally James’ trip to Canada, representing the resort.
“This is an amazing chance for a Tenby cadet to spend three weeks in Canada meeting other Sea Cadets and learning the difference between our organisations,” he wrote.
The Deputy Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown proposed donating £50 to the Sea Cadet’s trip and wished her ‘good luck’ with her fellow councillors agreeing.
