When Wales YFC chairman Rhodri Evans made Cancer Research Wales his charity of the year, he set an ambitious fund-raising target of £20,000. However, thanks to his successful run in the London Marathon that target has already been smashed. Rhodri, of Ceredigion YFC, is now hoping to raise £30,000 for the charity. To add to the total raised by Wales YFC this year, Pembrokeshire county chairman Tim John has chipped in with a £300 donation of his own. Tim said: "Cancer Research Wales is such a worthwhile charity, that I felt I had to do something to boost our fund-raising total. Also, running the marathon is no mean feat, so I wanted to congratulate Rhodri and help him achieve his fund- raising target." Wales YFC members are currently completing a 'Ride for life' virtual bike ride around Wales to raise even more money for this year's chosen charity.
