At Tenby Dolphins Swimming Club's Christmas party, held at Saundersfoot Sports Club, a cheque was presented to local charity fund-raisers, the Evergreen Nomads.
The cheque was accepted on behalf of the Nomads chairman and committee by Dave Thomas, who was presented with it by John Amos, the Dophins' coach, and was a result of funds raised from an earlier sponsored swim.
Dave thanked everyone who organised the swim and gave a special thanks to everyone who took part. He told the gathering that the money would go to help children less fortunate.
Dave also presented a trophy for the highest sponsored swimmers on behalf of the Nomads. This was won by two of the younger swimmers, sisters Lydia and Emily Dilks.
The coach then asked Dave to present further trophies to the Dophins for their achievements during the previous 12 months.
The Christmas party was a huge success, with everyone present enjoying the festivities.
