Dogs are to be banned from Narberth Castle. At a meeting of the executive members of the castle last week, a decision was taken to put a total ban on all persons taking dogs to the castle grounds because a number of irresponsible dog owners had let their dogs foul and not made use of the newly-installed dog fouling bins.
"As is often the case, a small number of people have spoilt this for the greater majority of responsible owners," said committee member, Clr. Wynne Evans.
"A ban has also come into effect relating to the use of bikes and skateboards on the site, as severe damage is being caused to the new pathways and the mediaeval walls," he added.
