On Thursday June 30, Pembrokeshire College, along with Dragon LNG, will be holding its annual Make a Difference Day (MaDD) and is looking for community groups and charities that could benefit from a helping hand.
Each year, as part of Make a Difference Day, the college releases staff to undertake projects that will make a difference to the local communities that it serves and this year we have teamed up with Dragon LNG, based in Waterston, meaning we’ll be able to tackle more projects that ever!
If you know of a community group, or a charity, that could use some help, the college is waiting to hear from you. There is no restriction on the type of project that can be submitted for consideration as long as it will make a difference to people in the local community.
Previous projects have included drawing and painting a giant dragon for Green Dragon Community Transport, painting and decorating St. John’s Community Hall, garden maintenance for the Tenby Elderly Residents Association and building giant planters at Stackpole Gardens for Pembrokeshire Mencap, but we would be equally happy to clear footpaths, repair Wendy houses or muck out kennels - whatever your community group or charity needs! The staff at Pembrokeshire College and Dragon LNG are ready to help.
If you are interested in finding out more, or think you know of a group that could use a little help, please call Sarah at the college on 01437 753 221.
