Pembrokeshire is home to some of the most fascinating bird spectacles in Wales and the RSPB is offering you the opportunity to join a journey of discovery to find out more about them.
The county's unique landscape attracts a wide range of birds to the area and some in nationally important numbers. Pembrokeshire boasts the second largest gannet colony in the world, with around 100,000 birds on the RSPB's Grassholm reserve at the height of the breeding season.
The area is also a stronghold for the UK's rarest crow, the chough, which lives and nests along the dramatic coastline.
Angela Charlton, RSPB spokesperson says 'Pembrokeshire is a great place for a whole host of birds, from kittiwakes and shearwaters that can be found on our shores, to yellowhammers and curlews that live on our farmland.
The event on October 2 will be led by our Pembrokeshire warden Ian Bullock, who will give people a unique insight into the wildlife wonders that take place right on their doorstep.
People will also be able to find out what they can do to help some of these birds, including how to join our newly formed Pembrokeshire action group.'
The event is free and will run from 7 to 8pm at Ysgol Bro Gwuan, Fishguard.
