Discover the huge variety of wildlife that makes its home in Pembroke by joining members of Pembroke 21C Community Association at wildlife events taking place during Pembroke Festival. On Saturday, September 2, the team will be at Holyland Wood where they will be on the trail of mini beasts, searching for the oldest and tallest trees in the wood, making woodland art and lots more activities for all the family. On Sunday morning, September 3, there will an opportunity to discover the fun of 'pond dipping' at the Mill Ponds and to look at the creatures that inhabit them in close up under the microscope. In the afternoon it will be back to Holyland Wood for a guided walk with Mill Ponds warden John Hayes. John will discuss the wonderful variety of bird life and biodiversity of this special site, now being regenerated as a community woodland for Pembroke. There is a nominal charge for the events, with the exception of the woodland walk which is free of charge.
