Paul Lorimer, Director of Finance with the Pembrokeshire and Derwen NHS Trust has taken early retirement. Stuart Fletcher, the Trust's Chief Executive, said: "Paul has done an excellent job as Director of Finance since the Trust was established in 1997. He will be greatly missed, and on behalf of his many colleagues I wish him every success in the future."
Mr. Lorimer, who lies in Llangwm, began his association with the local health service in Haverfordwest in 1979 working with the then Preseli/South Pembrokeshire District Health Authority. He later became Assistant Director of Resources with the Pembrokeshire Health Authority, moving to Carmarthen in 1990 to take up post as Director of Finance in the Mental Health Services.
He returned to Pembrokeshire in 1997 as Director of Finance on the merger of the Pembrokeshire and Derwen NHS Trusts.
He will be replaced as Director of Finance by Keith Jones, currently Deputy Finance Director with the Trust.
