Pembrokeshire youngsters have come home with the BJ Griffiths Memorial Cup. The youngsters, aged from 11 to 18, were awarded the cup after winning this year's Youth Events Wales Finals. The cup is awarded to the county that achieves the most points for participation and final places in a range of sports and arts events from football and tennis to dance and 'big art'. The county's dancers also won the Youth Dance Cup. Over 600 youngsters from 11 Welsh counties took part in the annual youth competition, which was held in Haverfordwest and Newtown. Pembrokeshire's 66-strong team was made up of youngsters from clubs in Fishguard, Neyland, Milford Haven, Hubberston and Tenby. They were presented with the cup by county council chairman, Clr. Clive Collins, at a recent reception at County Hall.
