Congratulations to Tom and Betty Gould, of Sandgate, 35 Lady Park, Tenby, who celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary yesterday (Thursday). Betty (nee Diment) was born in Tenby and grew up living at the harbour's Castle Square, while her husband Tom was born in Dunster, Somerset. The couple met when Tom who served with the 'Desert Rats' came down to the area, and they married in St. Mary's Church, Tenby. Betty's father, John Bennet Diment, built and run the Tenby laundry, with Tom working for the company, before going on to work for the ambulance service. The couple will celebrate their anniversary with their daughter Janice, son-in-law Andy, and grandson Simon, who will all be coming down from Somerset. There will also be a party at Tenby Bowling Club over the weekend.
