Congratulations to Trevor and Pat Williams, of The Stores, Cresselly, who celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary last week. On May 29 the couple marked 60 years of marriage and even received a congratulatory message card from the Queen. Trevor was working in Lawrenny when he met Pat from Cresswell Quay in 1953, and they married in Pembroke Dock register office. Trevor worked in farming agriculture for most of his working life, while Pat worked as housekeeper for several employers before her employment as school caretaker at the local Jeffreyston VC School before retiring. Both like to garden and tend to the many types of flowers and plants they have, whilst Trevor is also a big sports fanatic, whilst Pat enjoys knitting and needlework. The couple, up until two years ago, also liked to holiday and in particular loved Italy, which they visited many times. They have two daughters, Carol Owen from Cresselly and Gwynne Williams, of St. Florence, grandchildren James, Vanya, Daniel and Thomas, and great-grandchildren Evan, Megan, Seren Bethany and Dylan, with another great-grandchild due in August.
