A Facebook exposure campaign highlighting parking problems in Narberth is currently being mounted by the town's Deputy Mayor.
Clr. Mrs. Elizabeth Rogers has posted photographs of vehicles badly parked in the High Street which she blames for most of the congestion.
Clr. Mrs. Rogers's campaign was sparked after she attended a Police and Communities Together meeting where parking problems was one of the topics discussed.
"I am fed up with the parking problems in Narberth," she told the Observer this week.
"Everyone blames the big lorries delivering, but this is not the cause of most of the delays. The main problem is bad parking when motorists just pull into a space with the front or rear end sticking out into the road," she explained.
"If there is something big opposite and a bus or lorry tries to fit through, they can't," she added.
"Yes, I work for a shop which has deliveries from the bigger lorries, but this is not why I am for better parking," continued Clr. Mrs. Rogers.
"One day, the firefighters are going to be stuck and I don't want that on my conscience."
One of the vehicles Clr. Mrs. Rogers captured on camera was some four-foot from the kerb.
"It is actually illegal to park so far from the kerb," said Clr. Mrs. Rogers, who has suggested using the three spaces outside the Carreg Restaurant in High Street as a loading bay.
"This would help this problem, as the road is wider and it would be easy for anything to pass," she opined.
"I have discussed this with the police and they think that a loading bay there would be good."
In just three days, Clr. Mrs. Rogers took over 20 photographs of cars and vans parking badly which she has posted on her personal Facebook page to highlight the problem.
