Our recently inducted new Pastor, the Rev. Arfon Thomas, took charge of the service. The congregation included many visitors, including members from his previous church. The accompanist for the worship was Janet, Arfon's wife. A short children's address on angels was appreciated by the young children present. The emphasis of Arfon's address was based on the words of Jesus found in John's gospel, chapter 20, v21, addressed to his followers. As the Father has sent me, I am sending you. This is a directive to all Christians. Arfon emphasised the relationship of Jesus to God and for Christians to be fully aware of the resources God has given them to carry out his work. The service concluded with a communion service and a blessing on the young children present. A Bible study and prayer meeting will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2.30 pm in the school hall.
