On Saturday, the church held its annual Christmas social. The hall had been tastefully decorated and everyone enjoyed a sit-down meal and entertainment.

This festive atmosphere was felt by the worshippers on Sunday morning, the service being introduced by Mrs. Phyllis Duffett and the music provided by Barbara, Jan, Tessa and Frank.

The reading and sermon were given by Mr. Chris Llewellyn from Pembroke.

Chris chose his reading, and based his sermon from the first chapter of Luke, detailing the events surrounding the birth of John the Baptist.

He linked these with the preparations which are made to celebrate this season, both by believers in the birth of Jesus and others.

For Christians, a way to appreciate more fully this season ought to be making more room for Jesus in one's daily living, and by our living, making Him known to the world around us.

The parent toddler group met on Thursday when they held their Christmas party.

This Sunday, the usual service will be held in the morning and a candlelight service at 6 pm in the evening.
