Although the weather was cold and several roads covered with ice, a warm welcome greeted worshippers from the door steward, Mrs. Carol Ansell. Family news was given by Mrs. Myra Hopkins, during which the second candle in the Advent wreath was lit to remind us of the Love of Christ.
The worship time was led by the worship group, Barbara, Pam, Tessa, Frank and Keith, who had joined members for the day from Neath. Prayer time was led by Myra when the people in Zimbabwe were uppermost in our thoughts, as well as situations in the lives of local people.
Mr. Colin Joy from Narberth preached the sermon, following the theme of Advent as we wait for the second coming of Christ, taking his text from the gospel of Luke, chapter 21, verse 36, where Jesus encourages us to watch and pray, despite the difficult situations that the world will face.
The church Christmas social will be held tomorrow (Saturday) in the church hall at 7 pm. An invitation is given to anyone who wishes to attend.
