On Sunday morning, the guest preacher was the Rev. Robert James, who took words from the opening chapter of John's Gospel and encouraged his listeners to consider that Christ was as much a 'mystery' to believers as to non-Christians.
He pointed out that it is reasonable to believe in a Creator God, that God was in the business of communicating with mankind, seen today through the bible and the lives of Christians. The churches, the people of God, are to be 'drops of grace'. 'The light shines in the darkness, yet darkness tries to overwhelm the light', opposition to the Christian gospel is 'par for the course'. Yet to all who believed in his name (Jesus), he gave the right to become children of God.
Mrs. Carol Ansell was the door steward, the worship leader being the pastor, who also led during a time of prayer and in the breaking of bread.
In the evening, the church joined with the other churches in the town in a united service in the Salvation Army Hall. The usual meetings will be taking place this week and details can be obtained by either phoning (01834) 845838 or visiting the website http://www.dpbtenby.co.uk">www.dpbtenby.co.uk.
