Sir,

Tenby Town Council's decision to prevent the SPH from meeting in Tudor Square makes no sense.

Hunting was banned in 2005. Those behind the ban argued that they had no problem with the pageantry, just the involvement of a fox.

This leaves only two possible reasons for the council's objections: 1) that, after all, it is the people and the ceremony that causes their anger and indignation; or 2) they don't think the Act is working and that hunting is continuing.

Unless they come clean and explain their reasons, neither argument is compelling.

Di Clements,

Martletwy.
