THE third season of the De Valence Young Performers is about to start. This is a chance for all wanabee performers to follow their dream and perform on stage.
All children aged seven to 17 are encouraged to join this exciting Youth Theatre, whatever their ability.
Meetings will start on Sunday afternoons at the De Valence, Upper Frog Street, Tenby, where the children will be learning theatre techniques; acting, singing, dancing, stage skills, costume, lighting and sound; and will rehearse for productions to be performed at the De Valence and in other venues around the county.
The philosophy behind the project is for the Youth Theatre members to work with established scripts and adapt them to create shows and reviews and to have complete ownership of their productions, with expert guidance from Jeff Lewis, the De Valence Youth Theatre facilitator. Outside professionals will be brought in to assist with the productions in any capacity that they could be needed.
If you have a child that would like to be part of the De Valence Young Performers, then please go along to the first meeting of the school term on Sunday, September 23, from 2 - 4 pm at the De Valence. For any more information, please contact the De Valence box-office on 01834 843568.
