David Folder, an adult sergeant in the Royal Air Force Air Cadets, was last week invited to St. James’s Palace in the presence of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh KG KT, to formally receive recognition after winning a flying scholarship from The Air League.

The Air League is working to highlight the importance of the aviation and aerospace industries to the sustainability of the British economy. This includes encouraging young people from all types of backgrounds to get involved in aviation, both by giving them the opportunity to fly and helping them to access careers in the industry.

The 12-hour flying scholarship provided a substantial boost for David during his PPL training, which he managed to complete in October 2016.

David would like to thank The Air League for their investment in his future and their continued support.
