The Wales Air Ambulance has been boosted thanks to a dance organised by Mrs. Eileen Thomas at the Pater Hall, Pembroke Dock.
Mrs. Thomas's daughter, Kirsty, works at the Pembroke Dock branch of Barclays, and the bank agreed to match £1 for £1 the amount raised by the dance, making a grand total of £948.75, which will go towards the purchase of a flying helmet for the air ambulance crew.
Sponsored by the AA until March 2002, the air ambulance receives no NHS funding and relies on public donations to keep running.
