CHAIRMAN of the Pembrokeshire branch of the Normandy Veterans Association, Gordon Prime, of Jameston, is pictured with vice-chairman of the Pembroke Dock veterans sector, Gerry Price, at the recent D-Day anniversary celebrations in Milford Haven.

They were joined by the local padre and also the Mayor of Milford Haven and the chairman of the Milford branch of the Royal British Legion in laying wreaths on the day.

The celebrations were well supported by various veteran associations and there were six standards on parade, including two from the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, a Korean standard, as well as the Pembrokeshire branch's own.

The Royal British Legion will be holding an open day for recruiting on August 5.
