People are being warned that using the internet for bullying is a crime. The latest craze among young people in Pembrokeshire involves putting photographs of people on websites and adding offensive comments about them. Two young people in Haverfordwest have had to be issued with reprimands after putting offensive comments about others on the website BEBO. Sergeant Jill Evans, of the Haverfordwest Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "Bullying is not acceptable no matter what form it takes. "Just because you are not doing it directly to an individual doesn't mean it's not causing harassment, alarm or distress. Any person reading the material can be caused upset or offence. "We will treat any report of bullying seriously and we are appealing to young people to act sensibly on the internet and for parents to monitor them, else they could end up with a criminal record."
