In 1998, Span Arts booked a Salsa band from Cuba who were touring the UK for the first time, without knowing who they were or what they would be like in person. They were led by a singer and featured flute and fiddles, backed by a range of tropical percussion. Within minutes, the whole audience was on the floor and they stayed there for the rest of the night, bringing the band back for encore after encore. "In the ensuing years, we received many requests for a return visit, but it is only now that we are able to present Candido Fabre y Su Banda again at the Queen's Hall, Narberth," said a spokesperson Candido Fabre is a big star of Cuban music, considered one of the most versatile and ingenious soneros of Cuba. His songs have been performed by Orquestra Aragon, Los Van Van, Celia Cruz, and many others. His vocal improvisations have been described as "the greatest since Beny More."  Candido Fabre y Su Bandaare are a stunning 12- piece orchestra full of Cuban fire, and have an amazing capacity to pull the audience into the various Cuban rhythms, son, salsa and charanga. A rare chance to enjoy a genuine Cuban dance show touring the UK and returning to the Queen's Hall after 10 years. Tickets for this amazing dance band are £12 and available from Span Arts 01834 869323
