Three men are set to appear before Swansea Crown Court, on drugs charges, after a large quantity of cannabis plants was seized by police from a flat in Tenby.

The three men, 67-year-old Brian Wallis Davies, of Spinnaker, Upper Frog Street, Tenby, 42-year-old Alistair Kevin Firth, of 16 The Green, Tenby, and 45-year-old Mark Garham Millard, of Newbridge, Letterston, were released on unconditional bail following a hearing at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Tuesday.

Police executed a drugs warrant search on a top floor flat at the Spinnaker premises in Tenby's Upper Frog Street on April 13, where Mr. Davies, who resides at the premises, opened the door to officers, while Mr. Firth and Mr. Millard were also present at the property.

Officers discovered extensive amounts of cannabis plants and hydroponic growing equipment.

Tests later carried out on the 166 plants that were discovered, found 157 of them to be viable, with an estimated street value of between £28,000 and £45,421.

Between the dates of January 1, 2011, and April 13, Mr. Davies is charged with producing and supplying a quantity of the cannabis Class B controlled drug, while Mr. Firth is charged with producing and possessing cannabis with intent to supply.

Mr. Millard faces charges of producing cannabis and possessing cannabis and cannabis resin.

The three men, who entered no plea, are due to appear at Swansea Crown Court on Tuesday, January 24.
