Over 6,000 spectators witnessed a nod to the famous Guy Fawkes gun powder plot, when a mock up of the Houses of Parliament took centre stage at St Florence's big bonfire night on Wednesday.
Held at the village's playing fields and organised by the St. Florence Community Association, the evening also featured a senstational fireworks display, by pyrotechnics professional, Samantha Nicholls, of Manorbier Newton.
The bonfire created by vice-chairman of St. Florence Community Association, Jon Edwards, from around 70 tonnes of waste wood even caught the eye of a man more than familiar with the London building, South Pembrokeshire MP Simon Hart, who said: "Credit to St Florence village for this 70 ton bonfire - modelled on my place of work!"
