Pembrokeshire Community Safety Group has recently published a Crime and Disorder Audit.
The audit shows the levels of crime and disorder recorded in Pembrokeshire over the past three years, and highlights the broad range of initiatives which set out to improve the situation.
Pembrokeshire County Council Director of Social Care and Housing, Jon Skone, said: "One of the important messages arising from the audit is that although crime levels are falling and are amongst the lowest in the country, combined with a high detection rate, fear of crime remains a significant issue.
"This is the second such audit to be published, following one for Dyfed Powys in 1998, and will aid the development of the second Community Safety Strategy for Pembrokeshire, which is due to publication in April."
The group, a partnership between Pembrokeshire County Council, Dyfed Powys Police, National Probation Service (Dyfed-Powys) and Pembrokeshire Local Health Group would like to hear from you if you have concerns about the levels of crime and disorder in your area or if you feel unsafe in your community.
The audit can be viewed by visiting the Pembrokeshire County Council website at http://www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk">www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk, and going to the Community pages.
Copies of the audit have also been placed in police stations, county council offices and public libraries.
