There is an ongoing incident at Tenby Harbour pier where a crane owned and operated by a third party has tipped over.

A spokesperson for Pembrokeshire County Council told the Observer: “There have not been any injuries, but damage has been caused to the Harbour wall.

“There will be restrictions to access in place while the area is assessed and the situation resolved.

“Please avoid the area and thank you for your patience,” they added.

Caldey Island also shared the following earlier today (September 25): “Following today's incident at Tenby Harbour, we are pleased to confirm that all Caldey Island staff involved are safe and well.

“Thank you to everyone who has been in touch with messages of concern and support. They have been very much appreciated.Work is now underway to safely recover the crane, and we are hopeful that the situation will be resolved later today.

“We would also like to thank the Tenby Harbour Master for his invaluable support and assistance throughout the incident.”
