Eighty-five parking tickets have been issued in Narberth over the last month after a crackdown on illegal parking.
The Narberth Neighbourhood Policing Team has had numerous concerns raised to them about about illegal parking in the town.
They enlisted the help of the traffic warden, who issued 85 fixed penalty notices - this is in addition to those issued by local officers.
At the Narberth Police and Communities Together (PACT) meeting, residents welcomed this continued effort to free up the parking problems in the town.
The meeting was also informed that a Boatwatch scheme had been launched in the area. The scheme is similar to that of Neighbourhood Watch. A large number of boats were DNA tagged and advice given to boat owners.
The meeting was informed that this would be an ongoing process to continue to deter and detect suspicious or criminal activity in the area.
Residents had no priorities for the meeting and thus it was decided to continue with last month's priorities of continuing high visibility patrols in Narberth castle grounds to deter anti-social behaviour and to continue to patrol and engage the communities of Lawrenny Quay and Landshipping.
