PARENTS of a child of compulsory school age registered at a Tenby school who failed to attend regularly between February 12 and July 17, 2026 were each fined £100.
Both parents pleaded guilty at a hearing in Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 2. Their guilty pleas were taken into account.
A surcharge of £40 was added to costs of £127 for each parent.
Full costs were not awarded as it was found they are inappropriate in this case; there is clear evidence on the part of the defendants that they have tried to engage with the school and council on this matter.
