A SAUNDERSFOOT man has been banned and fined for drug driving.

Brett Iles, of North Close, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on July 8.

The 37-year-old pleaded guilty to three charges relating to his driving on the A477 at Kilgetty on March 22. The cocaine in his blood registered 39 microgrammes; the benzoylecgonine in his blood registered 240 microgrammes. He was also using a motor vehicle on a public road without third party insurance in place.

The drugs offences carry an obligatory disqualification. Taking his guilty plea into account, magistrates disqualified Iles from driving for a total of 14 Months and fined him £800.

An additional fine of £400 was levied for the insurance violation.

Costs to CPS were £85.
