A PEMBROKESHIRE driver has been banned for 20 months for testing eight times the legal limit for a controlled drug.
Dylan Oatley, of Fynnonwen, St Davids, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, August 25.
On May 15, the 25-year-old was driving an Audi A3 on the A40 at Letterston when a test revealed 400ug/ltr of benzoylecgonine in his blood.
Delta-9 THC was also present, reading just over the limit at 2.1ug.
Taking into account his guilty plea, Oatley was sentenced to a year-long community order, including 100 hours of unpaid work, and disqualified from driving for 20 months.
Costs to Crown Prosecution Service amounted to £85, to which a £114 surcharge was added.
