A PEMBROKE man was in court after driving an Audi car at 83mph on the A40 adjacent to Nantyci Showground, Carmarthen, his speed recorded by laser.
Daniel Lynch, of School Terrace, Monkton, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 23.
The 38-year-old pleaded guilty to driving over the 70mph speed limit on a dual carriageway on December 20 of last year.
He was fined £416 and his driving record endorsed with three penalty points.
A driving ban was not imposed; court heard mitigating circumstances, in that a disqualification would lose the defendant his employment. He also has an autistic child who relies on regular hospital appointments.
A surcharge of £166 was added to Crown Prosecution Service costs of £85.
