A PEMBROKE Dock driver has been disqualified and has to pay out over £2,700 following a drink-driving offence.

Raymond Batchelor, of Bush Street appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, August 5.

The 52-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit. On Sunday, April 6 at Milton, Pembrokeshire, after driving a BMW 5 Series on the A477 Milton to Pembroke Dock road, a test showed 223 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of urine.

Batchelor was disqualified from driving for 20 months, reduced by 20 weeks on completion of a course, and fined £1,923. With costs to Crown Prosecution Service of £85, and a victim services surcharge of £769, fines total £2,777.
