A DRIVER from Milford Haven has been sentenced to a ban and 100 hours’ unpaid work for drink driving at Neyland.

Robert Kowalski, of Robert Street, appearing before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, July 28, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Zafira on the A477 near to the Cleddau Bridge on July 12 after consuming so much alcohol that a breath test showed 100 ug of alcohol in 100ml of breath.

His guilty plea taken into account, the 43-year-old was given a 12-month community order - including 100 hours of unpaid work and disqualified from driving for 24 months, reduced by 24 weeks provided a course is completed by December 10, 2027.

A £114 surcharge was added to £85 in court costs.
