A MAN who denies assaulting a female at Milford Haven has been remanded in custody, pending a hearing on May 21.

Ashley Rickard, of no fixed abode, Llangunnor, Carmarthen, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Wednesday, May 6.

The 28-year-old, who is accused of assault by beating at Robert Street, Milford Haven, on October 27 of last year, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Based on the nature and seriousness of the allegation, a pre-conviction bail exception of ‘Likely to offend - cause injury or fear of injury to an associated person’ was called into effect and Rickard was remanded in custody until the May 21 hearing at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court when a trial will take place.
