A PEMBROKESHIRE woman has admitted to repeated assaults and using racially aggravated behaviour towards a police officer.

Kelly Picton of Siskin Close, Haverfordwest, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, August 18.

The 35-year-old pleaded guilty to three counts of assault by beating, involving the same victim - on January 28 and January 29. She also admitted causing a police constable distress by using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour. The offence was racially aggravated.

No compensation was ordered, owing to the defendant’s limited means and it being deemed inappropriate in the circumstances of the case.

Picton was fined £240 in total, and pays £85 in costs to Crown Prosecution Service, her guilty plea being taken into account.
