A former Pembrokeshire County Councillor will go on trial in September after pleading not guilty to contravening a licensing matter.
Fifty-six-year-old Paul Dowson of Princes Street, the former county councillor for the Pembroke Dock Central Ward, has denied a charge that between April 30 and June 4, 2022, at Tenby - engaged in licensable conduct, namely in the course of employment, carried out designed activities, in connection with a contract for the supply of services, namely working as a Door Supervisor at the Five Arches Tavern, when not in possession of a valid Security Industry Authority licence other than in accordance with a licence issued under the Private Security Industry Act 2001.
He also denied a further charge relating to the same premises and same allegation on June 5, of last year.

Mr Dowson has pleaded not guilty to the charges and the matter has been adjourned, with a trial date set for September 7, 2023, at Haverfordwest Magistrates' Court.
