A festive wedding proposal on Tenby’s golden sands saw the groom to be go down on one knee close to a favourite fishing spot.

Congratulations are in order for Grant Richards (formerly of Tenby) and his fiancée Hannah Simmons who got engaged on December 14 when they returned to the resort from London where the couple live to visit his family.

Grant a former pupil of Tenby Juniors and Greenhill Schools had planned to pop the big question on Tenby’s North Beach, where he still likes to fish when he returns to the area.

Whilst out for a walk with their pet pooch Hector, Grant wrote his and Hannah’s initials in the sand along with a heart to highlight the romantic gesture, before getting down on one knee in front of the picturesque backdrop of Tenby harbour.
