A man, his girlfriend and their two dogs were rescued by Tenby's inshore lifeboat on Friday evening after getting cut-off by the tide.

The 22-year-old man and his girlfriend, aged 25, along with their two Chihuahua dogs, were picked up by the crew from rocks below Jonny's Field, between Monkstone Point and Saundersfoot, after they became trapped by the incoming tide.

The alarm was raised by the man's mother at approximately 7 pm and the pair and the dogs were landed safely back at Saundersfoot, where they were given suitable safety advice by the local coastguard crew.
