South Wales West have finished runners-up in two tournaments organised by the Welsh Hockey Union (WHU).
The Under 16 and Under 18 regional tournaments at Swansea University were both won by South Wales East. North Wales finished third in both age sections.
In the Under 16s, South Wales East beat South Wales West by four goals to one. Hannah Vowles scored a first half hattrick, while Hannah Griffiths scored from a penalty corner for South Wales West's only goal.
South Wales West then beat North Wales by three goals to one. Ceri Jenkins (Haverfordwest Hockey Club) equalised an early North Wales goal and Naomi James put her side ahead in the 14th minute. Imogen Davies sealed victory in the second half with goal number three for South Wales West.
In the final U16 match, South Wales East beat North Wales 8-0 to win the tournament.
At Under 18 level, South Wales East beat South Wales West by three goals to one, Stacey John (Milford Haven) scoring her team's solitary goal.
South Wales East beat North Wales by two goals to one before South Wales West beat North Wales by two goals to nil. In the final match of the afternoon, Stacey John (Milford Haven) scored a goal in each half for South Wales West
Pembrokeshire had two players Stacey John and Rachel Davies (Tenby) selected in the under 18 squad while six players - Angharad Jenkins, Sophie Rees (captain), Llawella Scale, Ceri Jenkins (all Haverfordwest hockey club), Chloe Sinnott and Charlotte Harries (both Fishguard and Goodwick club) - made the Under 16 squad.
