Division One

Carew extended their lead over second placed Cresselly at the top of the table with a five wickets win over the visitors Narberth who were bowled out for 150.

Opener Ian Hughes hit five sixes and two fours in his innings of 51 before being bowled by young leg spinner Ceri Brace who finished with figures of 5-31.

Connor Lloyd provided the main support with an attacking innings of 22.

Ian Sefton (68) and Nick Scourfield (30) gave the Carew reply an ideal start with a first wicket stand of 99 but Carew was soon reduced to 120-5 before Robert Hicks with a boundary laden innings of 36no and skipper Phil Jones (11no0 regained control to take the leaders to victory.

Kyle Quartermaine caused the problems for Carew with a return of 4-45.

Cresselly scored 249-9 after good early order performances from Adrian Harris (48), Phil Williams (35) and Adam Chandler (32) and then Ryan Lewis crashed 52 runs from 30 deliveries.

Spinner Danny Flynn (4-52) picked up most of the wickets for Tish who crawled to 141-8 in reply with opener Stewart Kimpton (48no) supported by Andrew Pawlett with a quick fire innings of 38.

If both Carew and Cresselly get good results on Saturday, the big showdown between the teams will be on Saturday August 7 in their next league match at Cresselly.

Solid batting by Paul Davies (40), skipper Mark Lee (49no), wicket keeper Steve Fraser (23no) and Jonathan Thomas (23) gave Whitland a total of 142-8 away to Haverfordwest for whom Josh Wilment took 3-20.

Simon Holiday with an undefeated 73 and opener Danny Potter (49) had an opening stand of 120 to steer Harfat to an eight wickets win.

Saundersfoot stumbled at home to Neyland after being dismissed for 141 despite the efforts of Paul Mansbridge (41) plus Yannick Parker, James Caine and Danny Caine who each scored 20.

Wrist spinner Gary Lloyd took 3-38 for the visitors who won by seven wickets upon reaching 145-3 with Paul Murray 82no, supported by Alex Kemp (24).

Lawrenny travelled to Herbrandston and did well to dismiss the home team for 139 who rallied after being 27-5 as a result of a sixth wicket partnership of 68 between Nathan Banner (54) and Kristan Bennett (15).

Ian Jenkins took 3-25 who were in a similar position to the home team at 29-5 but the visitors failed to recover and were bowled out for 68 with Paul Hood taking 4-18.

Division Two

Congratulations to Pembroke on their second win of the season after travelling to Johnston and dismissing the home team for 93. Gwyn Griffiths took 4-24 and Kevin Jenkins 3-45.

Pembroke also lost wickets quickly as Steve Mills Junior took 3-6 but Rob Weston 19 and Gwyn Griffiths 16no helped the visitors to win by four wickets on 98-6.

Cresselly Seconds retain top of the table spot with a four wickets win away to Hook who reached 176 before being bowled out after young Tom Blaxland (67) had runs again as did the reliable Jamie Phelps (29).

Stefan Jenkins and his brother Siôn were the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3-28 and 3-36.

The visitors were reduced to 37-5 but recovered in a sixth wicket partnership of 102 as Damian Arthur hit six sixes and five fours in an undefeated 84 supported by Neale Williams (22) and Sam Harts (21no).

Jamie Phelps took 4-37 for Hook.

Second placed Carew Second won by five wickets away to Whitland Seconds who totalled 154-5 following good knocks by Kevin Pearce (67) and Scott Newton (36).

Ben Evans (45), Brian Hall (38) and skipper Christian Phillips (23) paved the way for a Carew Seconds winning total of 156-5.

Division Three

Leaders Pembroke Dock won again after scoring 180-5 to pass the total of 179-8 posted by Haverfordwest Thirds.

Peter Kingdom took 4-50 for the visitors but Mark Cross (66), Josh Hicks (43no) and Mark Hicks (27no) provided the platform for the Haverfordwest total.

Peter Kingdom showed his all round qualities with 42, Julian Edwards scored 35 and Dock skipper Nick Daley was 33no when the winning target was reached.

Narberth Seconds were held to a total of 127-6 at home to Johnston Seconds although Wayne Howells (40), Jordan Williams (21) and Tom Fox (20) had paved the way for a larger total.

The visitors reached 129-6 to win by four wickets with two balls of the match remaining as Martyn Morgan scored 48no and Liam James 20.

Lamphey were bowled out for 169 at home to Hundleton. Skipper Robert Mathias top scored on 35 supported by his vice captain Peter McGilloway with 34, James Skeels with 26 and Andrew Skeels with 22.

Liam Williams took 4-41 for the visitors who went for the runs but were held in check at 158-7.

Jonathan Williams dominated the Hundleton innings with 67no supported by Luke Williams with 20.

Division Four

Leaders Carew Thirds were bowled out for a lowish total of 84 away to Camrose and Spittal as Darren Osborne took 4-15 and Gareth Loveridge 3-24.

The visitors rallied and cut through the Camrose and Spittal innings to dismiss the home team for 46 as Luke Hicks took 4-3 and Joel Read 3-21.

Kilgetty had their ninth win of the season after travelling to St Ishmaels and dismissing Tish Seconds for 62 despite the efforts of Robert Cockburn with 25. Peter Hall took 3-4 and Jamie Bessant 3-6.

The visitors won by eight wickets with Gareth Edwards scoring 23.

Lawrenny Seconds moved one place up the table after defeating the visitors Llangwm Seconds by 12 runs after being bowled out for 97.

Richard Prout had an undefeated innings of 30 as John Palmer took 5-33 and Jonathan Brock 3-13.

It was a good all round performance in the field by the Lawrenny team which resulted in the visitors being dismissed for 85 with Richard Prout, Willie Morris and John Fuller each picking up a brace of wickets.

Pembroke Seconds failed by just three runs to gain their second win of the season after bowling out the visitors Hook Seconds for 133.

Charlie Allen took 5-24 and David Jones 4-28 and the only real resistance came from Bradley Flood with 64. Flood was also on form with the ball and took 4-45 to thwart the Pembroke victory bid although Charlie Allen followed up his fine bowling to top score with 36.

Division Five

Cresselly Thirds remain top of the table after and eight wickets win to Llangwm Thirds who were bowled out for 73 as Richard Arthur took 4-25 and Matthew Lewis 3-13.

The visitors reached 78-2 as Alex Bayley scored 33 and Matthew Lewis 27.

St Florence had a nine wickets win at home to Whitland Thirds after dismissing the visitors for 98 as Alun Evans took 4-10 and Justin Evans 3-33.

An opening stand of 83 between James Phillips (61no) and Jonathan Edwards (30) set up a St Florence total of 100-1.

Narberth Thirds scored 197-8 at home to Herbrandston Seconds. Sam Mills scored 83 and Huw Simpkins 39 as Sean Williams had a splendid bowling performance of 7-47 for the Herbie team.

The combined Narberth bowling attack was even better as Tim Mills took 4-16, Nathan Lloyd 3-18 and Dan Hughes 2-0 to bowl the visitors out for 47.

Saundersfoot Seconds were away to Burton Seconds who totalled 204-7 after solid batting by Andrew Cromwell (59) and Chris Campbell (40no).

Although San Franklin scored 38 to follow up his two wickets the visitors were dismissed for 130 as Jamie Ashman took 3-35 and Graham Morris 3-39.

Division Six

Robert Morgan scored 109no and Alun Thomas 54 in a St Clears total of 236-6 at home to Burton Thirds who held out for a draw on 93-8.

Alun Thomas took 3-32 and had good support from Robert Wray and James Ingleton with two wickets each.

Daniel Ridge scored 22 for the visitors and the powerful Gareth Bevan 21 but Williams Ridge helped his team to secure a draw with a determined batting display in the last ten overs.

Pembroke Dock Seconds bowled out the visitors Crymych seconds for 89 as Luke Murray had an outstanding bowling performance of 8-53.

Ronan Scarlett was the only batsman to offer real resistance with 35.

The Dock team won by nine wickets with Sam Alford scoring 57no including ten fours.

Camrose and Spittal Seconds scored 164-6 away to Hundleton Seconds after Joe John scored 50no and Simon Ateyo 45no.

David Pratt and Daniel McNiffe each took 3-43.

Although Steve John scored 38 and Steve Williams 34, the Hundleton team were bowled out for 147 after Brian Hawkins took 4-3.

Lamphey Seconds were bowled out for 98 away to Llanrhian Thirds and the total was attained with the help of 44 extras!

Ben Sutton took 4-25 for Llanrhian Thirds who reached 72-9 in reply as Dave Burrows Senior scored 25.

All rounder Maldwyn Llewellyn was the pick of the Lamphey bowlers with 6-24 supported by Gianluca Trimarco with 2-9 in 12 overs.
